Performance Coaching That Doesn't Push Supplements

Many Performance Coaches Have Something to Sell You. I Don't.

SPMD is what Physician-Led Executive Level Performance Coaching looks like operating under a fiduciary standard.

There is a business model behind most performance coaching that nobody talks about openly.

The coach recommends a supplement stack. The supplement company pays the coach a commission. The client buys the supplements. The coach gets paid twice: once for the session, once for the sale.

This is not a fringe practice. It is a common model in the wellness and performance industry. Most coaches operating this way are not malicious. They believe in the products. But believing in something and having a financial interest in recommending it are not the same thing. The conflict of interest exists whether the coach acknowledges it or not.

A physician operating under a fiduciary standard cannot do this.

The fiduciary standard means one thing: every recommendation I make has passed a single test. Is this in your best interest? Not my revenue. Not a partner company's revenue. Yours.

In clinical practice this is not a philosophical position. It is a legal and ethical obligation. A physician who recommends a treatment because it generates a referral fee is not practicing medicine. They are committing fraud.

I carry that standard into coaching because the alternative is indefensible.

What does that look like in practice?

It means I do not have affiliate arrangements with supplement companies. It means I do not recommend products that generate revenue for me. It means if the evidence does not support an intervention, I will tell you that directly rather than selling you a workaround.

It means that when I tell you the most important thing you can do for your performance this week is sleep, I am not selling you a sleep product. I am telling you what you need using our methods and the evidence we base all our recommendations on.

The performance coaching industry operates without a professional consequence for being wrong. A coach who sells you an ineffective supplement loses nothing. A physician who causes harm loses everything.

That asymmetry is why physician-led coaching is different. Not because physicians are smarter or more motivated than coaches. Because the professional stakes are different.

The SPMD Leak Assessment is free. It has no upsell attached to the result. Your primary performance leak, your matched intervention, and your Initial MOVES are delivered at no cost because the initial diagnostic should not be behind a paywall.

If you want to go deeper, you will be able to purchase your full Leak Assessment for $6, and the SPMD Fundamentals Toolkit will cost $11 which includes your full Leak Assessment as well as all of the education to master our fundamentals of DRAINS, CLEARS, MOVES. No supplement attached to either.

That is the whole model.

Performance. Revealed.
